Our Impact

Read some of the feedback we've had about our impact on the people of PNG.

I am writing on behalf of World Vision Solomon Islands to thank you for the contribution of £1000 from the PNG Wantok Support organisation in London as arranged by Swire Shipping to support our flood relief efforts. We appreciate the kind gesture and genorisity of the PNG Wantok Support organisation at this time of great need for many Solomon Islands. The funds have been used to purchase and distribute emergengy Family Kits to ensure affected familities have immediate hygiene and health needs addressed and also purchase and distribute Liveihoods Kits that include agricultural supplies to provide for income generation and re-establish family gardens. Thank you once again for your genorsity and support.

I have been amazed at how technology has changed over the years, and certainly this new equipment is a classic example, giving affordable, quality connections across our bases. Thanks again to Wantok Support, the people who gave to this project, it is a real blessing. (Michael Wakefield, General Manager, CRMF)

On behalf of Wara Wagi Primary School, parents and stakeholders, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Wantok Support Charity group - it's the first of its kind and we are very pleased and very honoured to have received the cycle jackets, rugby balls and educational books. I would like to thank the charity organisation for being very good to the school.

– Mr Kala (Headteacher), Wari Wagi Primary School, Western Highlands, Papua New Guinea

We are very privileged here at St Mary's Catholic Primary School to be the recipients of reading books, curriculum textbooks and sports jackets from Wantok Support. As observed here, the kind works of a few to aid others has somewhat benefitted hundreds of students and will be the same for a long time to come. It has built interest in learning amongst the students and has become a motivation to the school, its staff and the stakehlders.

– Mr Nicholas Lekung (Headteacher), St Mary's Catholic Primary School, Lae, Papua New Guinea
